Ford Ranger Instrument Panel Lights Q. Hi. We own a 1997 Ford Ranger and some of the lights behind the instrument panel have burned out. I have tried to find a way to open the panel to switch out the light bulbs, but haven't been able to. How can I gain access to these lights? Thanks for your help! Javier

A. In order to gain access to the panel lights you will need to remove the facia from the dash panel and then you will have to remove the instrument panel. Please use extra care when pulling the instrument panel from the dash as there are several wiring harness connections which, if stressed too much, can cause cracks in the PC board in the panel and cause you worse problems.
