GMC Blazer Not Getting Fuel
Q. Hi Vincent, I had gotten on to your site about a year ago and the info you had given me really helped my son tackle his auto problems. Well we have another question, and as I said, it's been awhile since I was on here, so I forgot my password and everything, so am hoping this gets to where it needs to go.
The problem my son is having is on his 1985 GMC Blazer. It is a 2.5 liter, TBI injection, automatic transmission and has 100,000 miles. What he's having problems with is, that he has fuel going in the lines to the carburetor, but nothing will go into the carburetor. So he is wondering what the wiring trail is, like what is first on the line, then leads to the next and so on, and what makes the fuel spray into the carburetor?
I'm hoping I worded this so you can understand what he needs to know, as he is not a computer person. I wrote it the way I understood him explaining it to me. If you could at least give us a couple of points to start looking into, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
DawnA. The injector needs to have 12 volts on one wire with the key on. The ECM grounds the other wire to pulse the injector. If no voltage at injector make sure the check engine light comes on. It could be a blown ECM fuse.
