Chevy S-10 Got A Load Of Dirty Gas

Q. Mr. Ciulla, I am having a nightmare with my 2003 Chevy S-10, 4 cylinder. Particles have gotten from the gas tank to the fuel injectors and I have had to replace them four times. The service dealer says that fuel filters fail sometimes and that I must have gotten bad gas. I am not a technician but I am a logical person. It seems to me that the whole reason fuel filters exist is to prevent this from happening. I hope you can help, I am looking at a huge loss.

Thank you,
Kim

A. Is this still under warranty? Maybe there is something in the tank. Have they checked it to see? If this is under warranty I would call Chevrolet and complain about the treatment you are getting. If it is bad fuel, a filter should stop most all dirt particles. You may have an issue with the gas station that you purchased the fuel from. Especially if there is more than one complaint brought against them.
