Ford Fuel Tanks

Q. I have a 1995 Ford F-250. My problem is when I am on my front fuel tank the truck cuts out very badly and some times it dies. The rear tank runs great. I have replaced the dash fuel switch, the front tank fuel pump and sock, and checked the lines for obstructions and found none. I also replaced the fuel relay fuse.

Can you give me any helpful hints? If you can help it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Marlo in New Mexico

A. Since you have two fuel tanks you have two fuel pumps. Assuming you have checked it electrically, the answer is the front fuel tank has a bad fuel pump. You can do a fuel pressure test to confirm this.
