Q. Hi, I am wanting to get my husband a remote car starter for Christmas. Could you tell me what I need to look for in one? There are a lot out there at many different prices.

JoAnnA. You're right, there are quite a few of them out there. My recommendation is to get one installed at the dealer. They have the kit that will fit right into the car and if there is a problem, they will be best able to handle it. If the car is still under warranty, this will also protect the warranty.
If it's an older car, there is a company called Trim Line Design that can do it. They are a nation wide company and usually service new car dealers. They are pretty good and will stand behind their work if there is a problem.
