Volkswagen Cabrio Leaking T/S Light Q. 1999 Volkswagen Cabrio. When turning on the passengers side turn signal, it fades into the drivers side, causing it to lightly flash as well. Does NOT fade when using drivers side turn signal. I have the wiring diagram for the car, been over and over it, have been working on it for about a month now trying to find the problem.

All the other lights work fine, just as they should. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

A. I'm afraid you're going to have to remove the instrument cluster and look at the inside. A light guide is probably broken allowing light from the turn signal bulb to "leak" out.

It is also very possible the socket fell out of it's hole.
