What To Do??

Q. Vince, if that is your name. Any way, mine is Normano and I, like you, have 40+ years of experience on the trade all makes of cars. I think that some times by having the costumer trying to fix his car it can case more harm then good. Don't you think?

What To Do??

Any way nice quiz. The reason I am writing to you is have you got any ideal what can a person like me or you can do off the bench and still make enough to pay the mortgage?? I'm thinking and nothing comes to mind?? There must be something out there?? This is from Canada.

Thanks for reading...

A. Well Normano, Vince really is my name. I'm not a computer or any other kind of machine. I'm a real, live person. Funny thing is I used to have a son with the same name too.

I'm only 49 so I still have a few good years in me yet. I go to work every day and do my job. And If I can still do it when I'm 95, I will. They will have to pry the my wrench from my cold, dead hands.

You might try marketing your experience as a professional witness. Many lawyers need experts in a particular field so they will hire a Professional to testify in court. I am involved in just such a case right now. I was hired for my experience as an Automobile Mechanic. You can prepare something and send it to lawyers who specialize in cases involving motor vehicles.

Teaching is also a good thing for someone like you who is retired. You wealth of knowledge and experience would be extremely helpful in landing a teaching position in a High School or trade school. All you need to do is apply for a teaching certificate and you're in.

Outside of that nothing comes to mind. When my Uncle retired from being a mechanic, he went into Locksmithsmithing with his son in law. He also took up woodworking as a hobby and kept himself busy.

And yes, I have put back together my share of cars that someone got halfway through and found out the couldn't handle it.
