Questions and Answers

Bulbs

Q. I have a few questions to ask of you concerning my Honda Accord and my wife's Dodge Dynasty. Both questions concern changing out light bulbs, so this may not be real difficult...but we both have found it to be. Also, I can't seem to find anyone to help us so far, so here we go...

Okay, about the Accord

It's a 1989 Honda Accord LX, 4 cyl, 4 door with automatic trans and I am pretty sure it has a carb and not fuel injection. The problem with this car is that we cannot figure how to get to the "front drivers side" turn signal light bulb to change it out. It seems to be located within the front bumper... but we can't seem to find a way to get in there and there are no screws around. Confusing if you ask me. That is the only problem with the Accord.

As for the Dynasty...

It's a 1991 Dodge Dynasty, V6, 3.3L Fuel Injection, 4 door. On this one, it is the right "passenger side" or right "clear reverse light that is out. I checked inside of the trunk and unlike the Honda, it is solid across where the lights would be. I am assuming that the lens covers come right off, since there are no screws anywhere on the outside and there are small spaces in between. I am not sure though and do not want to break them. Well, thank you very much for taking time to read all of this and we appreciate any help you could offer.

Our thanks again!
Christopher and Karla

A. To replace the front turn signal bulb on the Honda, you have to lay on the ground and reach up inside the bumper to get to the socket.

As for the Dynasty, the bulbs are not replaceable. You have to buy a new car. Huh? Not buying that? Oh well, I tried Karla.

The interior trim in the trunk comes out and that will let you access the sockets from the inside. The lens are glued in and will not come out.
