Nissan Pathfinder Radio Not Working
Q. Mr. Ciulla, have a 2001 Nissan Pathfinder with a Bose system with the 6 disc CD changer. The CD changer has been broken, CD jammed in and will not eject and will not play, ever since I bought the truck used. I recently took the CD player out and attempted to remove the CD to no avail.
When I plugged the CD player back in the radio would not work at all but it was working before I pulled the CD player out. The face plate lights up but the radio does not turn on or off and none of the buttons work. I called Nissan and they said that they do not know what the problem is and that there is no anti-theft device or code that would affect it. What are your thoughts?
Thank you,
JasonA. The first thing to do is check fuse number 4, 15 amp, in the fuse box. You probably popped the fuse when you removed or reinstalled the radio. If the fuse is good, check for power at the audio unit terminal 12, light green/red wire and terminal 2 of the audio Amp Relay.
If you have power at both places, then the radio itself is the problem.
