Chevrolet Corvette Voltage Regulator

Q. Hi Vincent, You had a good article on alternators, voltage regulators, etc. I have a question I hope you can answer. I own a 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Roadster with a 327 engine. I want to replace the existing alternator and voltage regulator with a single wire alternator. I run the single wire from the new alternator to the positive on the battery.

Chevrolet Corvette Voltage Regulator

What do I have to do when I remove the existing voltage regulator. It has wires from the ignition switch, horn relay, starter, etc. Do I have to do anything to these wires when I remove this voltage regulator?

Thanks for your help in advance,
Bob

A. No one I know can remember that far back, so I can't help you with this. But if you go to CorvetteForum.com I'm sure someone there will be able to help you.
