Toyota Supra Warning Lights

Q. I have a 1989 Toyota Supra with sport roof, 7M-GE engine, automatic transmission, 140,000 miles, fuel injected, no ABS, power steering, A/C, cruise. Driving home after a five mile trip in a steady rain, the brake, battery, brake light failure warning lights in the dash came on simultaneously. Any ideas for repair?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Bret

A. Just one, don't drive it in the rain.

Actually I would think the alternator is the problem here. All those lights coming on is indicative of a bad diode pack in the alternator. I would check the alternator belt tension and make sure it is correct. If it is, you may have to replace the alternator.
