What Is It?
Q. Hi, I know you'll be able to tell me what I need to know. 1989 Lincoln Towncar (Signature Series). There was a small fire in my trunk that burned through to the back seat on the passengers side. In the trunk, mounted on wall there is a black box with a few wires going in one side and a bunch of wires coming out the other. What is it?

A. According to my diagrams it could be the trunk Pull-down module or the Deck Lid tamper switch. Both have several wires in and out so it's hard to be specific.
