New Nissan Transmission

Q. Hello, How are you doing? I have an Nissan pickup truck 1992 with 3.0 liter engine and it is automatic. Recently, the transmission broke, so placed a new transmission in. But now whenever you start the car when it is cold engine, as soon as you put into drive either forward or reverse, the engine dies and makes a loud noise. But, if you let the car warm up, the car runs fine than. I replaced the temp. sensor and TCC in the transmission. Could it be the transmission computer or the engine computer. I really need help with this car.

A. I am doing fine, thank you. The only thing I can suggest is to check to see if the wiring harness that runs above the transmission got pinched between the transmission and engine block. The top two bolts also have a retainer to hold the harness and if care was not taken replacing it, the harness can get pinched.

Outside of that, I don't have enough information to offer any other suggestions. I'm assuming the truck ran fine before the transmission swap.
