Gas Pump Auto Stop Q. For some reason, I had the impression that using the low speed setting on the pump handle allowed you to get more gas in you tank before it automatically shut off. Is this correct? William

A. I would think that it would. But if you are like the 200,000,000 other people who fill up their gas tanks, you will take it up to the next even dollar anyway.

I have even seen people fill their tanks right up to the brim, even going as far as rocking the car to make sure every little nook and cranny in the tank has gas in it.
