Radio COdE

Q. I have a 1995 Hyundai Accent 4 door. I bought the car with the radio out of it but was given another in its place but wasn't installed in the car. When I tried to hook up the radio it said 'COdE' what is this? How do I fix this?

Thanks for any reply or none but your is appreciated.
Rex

A. That radio has an anti-theft feature that prevents it from working if it is stolen. To get it to work, you have to input the correct code. Now your next question is going to be "Where do I get the code?" If you know what car it came out of, you can get the radio chassis number and take that to a Hyundai Dealer and get the correct code.

Lacking that, I would take the whole radio to a Hyundai Dealer and maybe they can get you the correct code.
