Pontiac Grand Am A/C Leaking Inside

Q. I'm having a problem with my 1998 Pontiac Grand Am Coupe. My air conditioner is leaking into the car on the passenger side. I discovered my rugs were wet from front to back turned out to be A/C. Can you help me find out why?

Pontiac Grand Am A/C Leaking Inside

A. The condensation drain is most likely clogged with leaves or debris. There should be a little black plastic drain hose coming out of the firewall that is supposed to let the water drain out. If you can see it, run a pipe cleaner up it to clear it. If it's bad enough the HVAC may need to come apart to get all the junk out.
