Jeep Dash Gauges
Q. I have a 1998 Jeep Wrangler 2.0 engine. The problem I have been experiencing is that occasionally when I hit a bump the speedometer, odometer, and sometimes the gas gauges all shut down and the airbag light comes on. After a while they will start working again. This has been happening sporadically. I tried changing the fuses and this helped for awhile, but the problem started back up. I think this might be a common problem, as I saw another person on a message board was experiencing the same thing.
Please advise as soon as possible.
Thanks!A. It seems that there is a loose connection somewhere. I would start by taking the fuse box out and checking the connections. Make sure they are tight. Then I would work my way back to the battery and make sure all the connections are clean and tight as well.
If everything checks out good, then I would suggest posting this question in my Auto Repair Forum in the Chrysler folder. We have a Gold Certified Chrysler Technician who is very good and will be able to give you much more information about this problem.
