Subaru Legacy Sunroof Won't Close

Q. Dear sir, I have a 1991 Subaru Legacy LSI Non Turbo 2WD Sedan. The problem is that the sunroof/moonroof will open upwards and close properly and will also open backwards too properly but once the sunroof is opened, even partially, it will not close at all. No buzzing sounds, no nothing! So I have to use the handle provided and manually close it!.

Now I hot wired it by totally disassembling and removing the switch and I got the same result! which rules out the possibility of a faulty switch and the motor seemed functional by actually closing the moonroof when it's in the upward position. so the only thing I can think of is the relay or the module, Can you please help me with this problem? And any pictures or graphics would be appreciated.

A. I don't have much on testing the sunroof electrical system, but I would, also, suspect the Sunroof Relay or the Sunroof Control Module. The Sunroof Relay is cheap, so I would try that first.
