Sagging Door

Q. Sir: I was wondering if you can tell me how to adjust the side doors on a 1993 Chevy Van. The two doors have a gap between them where the weather stripping does not touch the other door. I have tried to figure a way to adjust the doors at the hinges but there doesn't seem to be a way to move the hinges.

I have even removed the hinges and shimed them with a washer but it doesn't seem to make the doors any closer. Thanks for any help you can give me with this problem.

Tim

A. Try stopping at a body shop and asking someone if they are adjustable. I'm pretty sure they are. The hinge the bolts to the body is usually loosened by removing some piece of trim to access the bolts. Sometimes bushings wear out and the doors sag. Make sure this is not your problem.
