Alarming Problem

Q. Hello, I have a 1996 Pontiac Bonneville with approx. 85,000 miles. The engine is a 3.8 VIN code K. It has been having problems starting at times. When it doesn't start, neither the fuel pump nor the power windows will work. But when it does start, the these begin functioning again. The only thing that I think this might be linked to is new parts of the security system: new key, new security system, new module, and a new starter safety relay. The engine spins over and has spark, but no fuel. Do you have any suggestions as to what the problem might be?

Thanks a bunch.
Mike

A. I hate to say this Mike, but I don't have a clue. With all the new electronics that were put in, new connections and power feeds, the problem could be anywhere. I would suggest you take it back to the people who installed the security system and have them check everything. They would be your best bet to getting the problem resolved.
