Dodge Ram Engine Clatter

Q. Good afternoon Gentleman, My question is I have 1999 Dodge Ram that uses some oil and when under load or pushing the pedal hard there is a clatter in the engine. The engine has to be warm and under some strain from hills or heavy throttle usage. The truck has 43,000 miles and I have changed oil every 3,000 to 6,000 miles.

The higher premium gas makes it very soft but low grade gas makes it clatter like something is going to break. I have went in and tightened the rocker arms but all seemed tight. I did put new plugs and wires in about 18 months ago. I put a new air filter in about six months ago.

Please advise...

A. You should have a five year/50,000 mile warranty on your engine. I would take it back to Dodge and let them fix it.
