Pontiac Grand Prix Rolls In PARK Q. Hello'I have a 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix 3.1 liter engine, automatic transmission and 48,000 miles. My question is. when I put my car in PARK it will roll ahead or back a little bit. I'm trying to find out what would be causing this problem. I hope you can help me. Thank you, Dawn

A. How much does it roll? This could be normal! There is a pawl that needs to engage a gear inside the transmission and it may not always be lined up every time you park. You should be using your parking brake anyway!
