Pontiac Grand Prix Hood Cable Broke Q. Hi I have a 1995 Pontiac Grand Prix. The hood cable just broke and I am unable to open the hood. With all of the snow here not being able to open the hood has rendered the car undriveable. How would I go about opening the hood? The cable broke between the latch and the release handle. The release is on the floor. Thanks Much! Bob

A. You may need to have it put on a lift. I always like to look at another car like yours so I know where exactly all the levers are so you can try to make a rod to sneak in there to pull the hood release on top of the radiator support.The cable may have just come off or broke.
