Jeep Grand Cherokee Hesitation

Q. Hello my name is Tony, I am having a problem with my 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited and no one seems to know what is wrong. When I am still and start putting my foot on the gas it seems like my Jeep is going to stall it goes from 1,000 RPMs to 700 then I give it more gas and it is fine. But it is only when I am going from the stop position and sometimes when I am stopping.

Jeep Grand Cherokee Hesitation

There seems to be a shimmy or slight rumble or vibration when this happens. Do you have any suggestions?

Thank you,
Tony

A. There were several driveability improvements made and Chrysler issued a TSB to address the issues. There is a software upgrade that will take care of the problem. So I would let Chrysler check it for codes and perform the upgrade.
