Ranger Vibration

Q. Last week I purchased a new Ford Ranger pick-up 2x2. Upon driving home I noticed a vibration in the rear between 58 mph and 64 mph only. I didn't take it back since I knew the tires were recalled and being replaced in a few days. I've had the tires replaced and guess what, it's still there and the same. Help please!!

A. You're coming to the wrong person for help. Since it is a new truck, I would take it back to Ford and let them determine what the problem is and fix it. It's under warranty and they will repair at no charge to you.

Personally, I suspect an unbalanced drive shaft or possibly a misaligned center carrier bearing if it is a two piece drive shaft.
