Kia Rio Wheel Alignment
Q. I have a Kia Rio. I recently had a front-end alignment as my passenger side tire was not wearing evenly and the mechanic told me it needed an alignment. Since my alignment my car seems to pull to the left more then normal when I turn to the left. Also it recently started making a squeaky noise when I turn to the left even slightly sharp.
I called the mechanic and he said it was just that I wasn't use to the change since the wheel alignment and the tire rotation I know something is wrong what do you think?
A. What you describe is a car that needs a wheel alignment. What I would do is go to another shop, preferably a tire shop, and have a four wheel alignment done. But before they make any changes, get a printout of what it is set at and the specifications. Then when the alignment is done, get another printout.
If there is a wide difference, then chances are the first guy didn't do the alignment correctly and you now have documentation to show that. Be polite, but firm that he refund the cost of the alignment.
If the alignment is close to specification and there is no improvement after the second alignment, you may have frame damage.
