Good Thermostats
Q. I'm a licensed mechanic and I work for the government department in the city of Vancouver BC that is called "Air Care" I don't do the actual testing of public vehicles but I service and maintain our own fleet of about 400 vehicles which all have to be tested for emissions.
I have found that a good quality thermostat works wonders for lowering emissions and solving almost all computer code problems. There are still some exceptions but these are few. The "Stant" brand of thermostat called the "SUPER STAT" is the brand we are supplied and it is 195 degrees and is of very good quality. I hope this information is helpful to someone because it can save big money in repairs. So many computer components are changed when they don't need to be.
