Ford Mustang Transmission Swap

Q. I have a 1988 Ford Mustang LX 5.0 with a Borg-Warner 5 speed manual transmission. The transmission is shot. I have found a T5 from a 4 cylinder Ford Mustang for $100.00. I believe this would fit without modifications, but I need to know if this would be a wise thing to do? Would the transmission hold up under the torque of the 5.0? I will not be racing this car, just a daily driver.

Thanks,
Truman

A. The T-5 is found on many larger engine applications and holds up well to the torque. It should be fine as your daily driver.
