Volkswagen Jetta Door Lock
Q. The front Passenger door does not open intermittently. It will not open with the key in the door or the inside handle or by pushing the lock button on the dash. We have checked the Vacuum system and found no kinks or leaks, we have checked the lock it self in the door and found it to be in working order.
I think its in the Anti-Theft System, maybe the controller or a solenoid in the controller. The solenoid in the door worked fine. Any suggestions?

Richard & RoseA. From what you're saying is the problem is with the door locking and unlocking, not opening and closing. If this is correct then the problem is a loose connection or a broken wire.
Between the door and the body is a rubber tube. This tube carries the wiring from the car to the door and allows for the opening and closing of the door. Inside this tube the wires break from being flexed all the time. SO that would be the first place to look.
The next thing I would check is to see if the door lock solenoid is getting the Lock/Unlock signal. If not then the problem is in the transmitter or receiver.
