Volvo 960 Blows T/Signal Fuses
Q. Dear Vincent, I have a problem with my turning light's fuse. The fuse for that light, which is also used for the cruise control is burnt too often. It can happen after a day, a week and even happens after two months. I currently buy a stock of fuses (15 Amp) and pray. I found out that when I take out the rear left brake light it lives much longer.
Or should I say when the rear left brake light is in the fuse burns much faster. My car is a 1992 Volvo 960 2.9 liter engine automatic. The mileage is 144,000.
Thanks for your assistance,
BennyA. It sounds like you have a bad connection somewhere in the left turn signal light circuit. I wish I could tell you where, but it could be anywhere. The first connections I would check are the ones at the turn signals front and rear. Also check the bulb sockets for rust and corrosion.
