BMW 320i No T/S With Headlights On

Q. I have a 1982 BMW 320i. The problem I am having is that the turn signals work fine when the light switch is off, but when you turn the headlights on, the turn signals wont work. Could this be the headlight switch?

BMW 320i No T/S With Headlights On

A. Check the blue/red wire (left) and the blue/black wire (Right) coming out of the headlight switch for power with the head lights on and off. If there is power at both those wires with the headlights off and loses power when you turn the headlights on, you have a bad Combination switch.

I'm almost willing to bet real money it is bad.
