Chevy S-10 Head Liner Repair
Q. A 1991 pickup. The cloth head liner appears to have come loose from the substrate(?) material and is sagging considerably. The apparent same cloth material is also coming loose from the sun visors and is becoming loose and wrinkled. The material is a dark red color.
There has been no overt damage from weather or abuse that I'm aware of. The vehicle has spent much of its life parked out of the weather. Is there a repair technique?
Thanks,
DonA. I would suggest going to a auto upholstery shop for repairs. I've tried to do this myself and failed badly. From what I hear, they take out the head liner and remove the cloth. Then they scrape off the foam/sponge material and re-apply new stuff along with new cloth. When it comes to this, it's better left to a specialist.
