Mercury Marquis Fuel Pump In-op

Q. Replaced fuel pump still no power to fuel pump. Checked fuses and trunk switch and relay switch. Still can get no pressure and can't hear the pump turn on at all I also have a repair manual and of course it has no troubleshooting ideas. Am I missing something??

A. What you need to do is check to see if you have power at the yellow and red wires at the Fuel Pump Relay. If you do, ground the light blue/orange wire and you should hear it click and have power at the dark green/yellow wire. If you do, the relay is good. If not, replace the Fuel Pump relay.

If you hear the Fuel Pump running, then the problem is the light blue/orange wire going to the PCM or the PCM itself. If it doesn't run, check the dark green/yellow wire at the Inertia Switch and Fuel Pump.
