Mazda MX-6 Check Engine Light

Q. Hi Vincent, I have 1991 Mazda MX-6 DS NON Turbo. 140,000 miles. Problem: Car runs great! I changed oil regularly. But once I drive for one or two miles, I will see sign "Engine Check". Do you have any suggestions or any previously hear this problem. I really appreciate your reply.

A. The Check Engine (MIL) is telling you the computer has detected a malfunction and it has stored a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC). If you go to: Diagnostic Trouble Codes you will find instructions on how to access the codes and what they mean.
