Monte Carlo Headlight Sensor

Q. Dear Mr. Ciulla, First let me say that you are most incredible to be able to do what you do. I presume you have helped more people than McDonalds has served hamburgers to. Anyway, I own a 2000 Chevy Monte Carlo SS and would like to either adjust the sensitivity or completely remove the headlight sensor which is on the dashboard.

Monte Carlo Headlight Sensor

I have searched the web with no luck, so I turn to you. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks again,
Greg

A. I'm pretty sure they are not adjustable. They are there for safety reasons so disabling them could mean a ticket. If you put tape over that sensor, it won't sense anymore, it will think it's dark out all the time. If you want to make it think it's daytime all the time you will need to put it near a light source all the time. It needs to be incandescent light source.
