Ford Explorer Fan Switch

Q. I need to replace my fan switch on my 1993 Ford Explorer and am looking for a dashboard parts diagram and/or instructions on how to get the old one out. I have A/C and the fan only works on high, not on the other speed settings; the A/C works fine, just no fan speed on the settings other than high.

John

A. Well John, just because I like you I'm going to save you some time and money. You have a bad blower motor resistor. When they go bad, you will only have high speed since it is a direct feed. All other speeds go through the resistor.

The blower motor resistor is located in the heater box next to the blower motor.
