Ford Explorer Idle Fluctuations Q. Hi, I have a 1992 Ford Explorer with 155,000 miles. It has a 4.0 liter engine. When I use the A/C the idle goes form 1,000 rpm and down to about 600 rpm when the compressor engages. When I am not using the A/C the car idle still fluctuates but it is with in a 100 rpm or less range. I have changed the idle speed control, spark plugs, and 02 sensor. Thank you, Anthony
