Nissan Hardbody Headlights

Q. Hello Vincent, My name is Jarmaine and I have a headlight problem. I own a 1994 Nissan Hardbody pickup with sealed composite headlights. One of my headlights only operates in the high beam position. I thought it was the headlight itself, so I replaced it only to discover that the new headlight only works in high beam as well.

Could the problem be the headlight connector socket? I inspected it for any problems and it looks fine but what do I know. Can you give me some assistance to what the problem may be?

Thanks,
Jarmaine

A. Nissan has a fuse for high and low beam, left and right. First thing I would do is to check the fuses and make sure they are all right.

Another possibility is the headlight switch. Nissan headlight switches are always doing goofy things like this. Sometimes if you wiggle the handle you can get it to come on.
