Honda Accord Cabin Air Filter

Q. My car dealer informs me that I need to replace my 1999 Honda Accord air conditioner filter because when I sit in the car and turn on the A/C, a funny type of smell comes in. This will cost $129.00, which I think is very, very high cost. Do you have any suggestions if I can do it myself, or take it to a garage who can do it cheaper?

Thanks,
Pankaj
