Chevrolet Malibu A/C Problems Q. Hi, I'm a having a problem with Malibu's A/C. Every time I press the A/C button to operate the air conditioner compressor, the indicator light will glow for few minutes and then stops. When this happens, warm air comes out and as I increase the force on the fan knob, it continues to do the same thing: cold air followed by warm air.

My brother has checked the car for possible radiator problems, including the coolant and everything seems fine. Any idea of what is happening?

A. These A/C control heads are prone to go bad. Sometimes you can be driving down the road with A/C on and hit a bump and it will go off. Tapping on the head sometimes makes it come back on. There may even be a bulletin out for this. The most probable fix is a new control head.
