Chevy Caprice Engine Rebuild

Q. I have a 1983 Chevy Caprice wagon that is my show car and, until I get my Ford Fairmont running, my daily driver. I want/need to do a rebuild on it, but I don't need a go fast, but a gas sipper engine. What can I do different in the rebuild to save gas?

Thanks,
Matt

A. All I can say is to run a stock GM Quadrajet that is jetted lean. They were the most efficient carburetors out there. Keep everything else stock.
