Questions and Answers

Sentra Blower Motor

Q. I have a problem with my heater/AC fan. The fan switch has 4 setting, from low to high. However, the fan (blower) only operates on 4, the highest. Thinking it was a faulty fan switch, I replaced it with a new OEM fan switch. This didn't fix the problem because again, the blower only works on the highest setting.

Am I missing a resistor/relay somewhere?

I haven't looked at the blower yet, but I suspect it may be something there. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

All the best!

A. You hit the nail on the head with the resistor. There is a blower motor resistor and when it goes bad, the blower will only work on high speed. High speed bupasses the resistor and that's why it will work at that speed.
