Crown Victoria Mirror
Q. I have a 1994 Ford Crown Victoria. I have a broken side view mirror on the drivers side. I would like some help on replacing the mirror only. Please help if you can.
Thank you, Have a great day.
HalA. That is not too difficult to do. First remove the outside rear view mirror remote control unit. Then remove window regulator switch housing by gently prying up, starting at the front. Disconnect all the connectors from the switch housing. Remove inside door handle cup. Pop the covers of the ends of the inner door handle and remove the screws underneath. Remove the screw at the bottom of the door trim panel to door inner panel.
Pop the trim panel out to disengage the plastic door panel clips. Lift the door trim panel upward and snap out trim panel. This may require a little effort to do. If it doesn't lift up make sure you didn't miss anything holding the trim panel. Then disconnect wire harnesses from door panel as required and remove trim panel.
Gently peel back the plastic liner and you will see the two nuts holding the mirror to the door. Remove the nuts and the mirror r will come out. Then just reverse the procedure to install the new mirror and door panel.
