Right Hand Drive Dodge Caravan?
Q. Hello again Vincent, I have a question pending regarding my 1990 Dodge Caravan, 3.0 liter V-6 FI, automatic transmission, over 200,000 miles, ABS and A/C and thought I'd seek your advice regarding another question. I am seeking sources (if any) for true right-hand drive conversion kits for my 1990 Dodge Caravan.
I am a rural letter carrier and am aware that some conversionists offer vehicles with this feature but are reluctant to provide their sources. Can you provide such information from your background?
Thanks again,
DaleA. There are no right hand drive conversion kits that I am aware of. Nor have I heard of this kind of conversion being done. The vehicle is built as either a left hand drive or right hand drive.
If there is a kit that I am unaware of, I can't imagine it being cost effective against just buying a right hand drive vehicle. You can purchase a used AMC General from a Post Office auction that has a right hand drive for a lot less than doing a conversion.
Doesn't the Post Office give you a right hand drive AMC General? I have never seen a letter carrier in anything else.
