Rough Running F-150
Q. I have had the truck serviced by several garages, both of which could not identify the problem, but were more than willing to replace numerous modules at my expense. O2 sensor, PCM, coolant temp sensor, fuel pump (?), spark plugs, fuel filter, and cleaned and lubed ECM have all been replaced but to no avail.
While one garage did concede and charged me about $200.00 after a lengthy argument, the check engine light remains brighter ever.

Fuel InjectionNote: a recent check by another garage indicated code:#118 and there have been no cooling problems. HELLLLLP!
A. Okay, DTC 118 is: "Engine coolant temperature sensor circuit above maximum voltage/ -40° F indicated."
The ECT is telling the computer that it is 40 degrees below zero out. Now if you have a new PCM in there and a new ECT then the problem is in the wiring between the ECT and PCM.
