Cutlass Lost Its Spark

Q. Please help!!!!!!!!! I have a 1987 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme, and I'm having lot of trouble. It's a 6 cylinder automatic with a carburetor, with A/C, and power steering. I'm not sure of abs brakes or rack and pinion. All I can tell you is this: the car has been running fine it has over 100 thousand miles on it, and driving home the other night the car just dies as we pull into the driveway. It will not start back up, they changed the spark plugs and the wires and the distributor cap and the rotor. But trying to start the car and the engine still wont kick over, there is no spark either. Some one seems to think it's the neutral switch now, but before I put that in is it possible out can tell me what might be the problem???????? Any kind of help at all would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!!

Thank you sooooo much!!!!!!
Lisa

A. The problem is not on the secondary side, but on the primary side. I would look at a bad ignition module as the cause of the problem. It's a common malfunction in that particular car.
