Caravan ASD Relay Woes

Q. 1990 Caravan, 3.3 liter V-6, auto, P/S, P/B, fuel injected, with air. Just quit one day while sitting at a drive-up window and hasn't started since. No sound detected at the fuel pump so I started checking for power to the pump. I located the ASD relay and determined there is power to it.

The relay coil windings show a reasonable ohm value and I have power to the switch contact of the relay but the relay does not "pull in". I have 12 volts on the opposite side of the coil and traced the wire from there to the single board engine controller and that's where I get "lost". Any/all help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Thank You,
Roger

A. Okay, so you have power for the fuel pump coming into the relay, but not out. So if you were to jump the relay, the fuel pump would run. Now, you have 12 volts to the coil of the relay (yellow wire pin 2) from the SBEC. So, that means that either the relay itself is bad, or the ground circuit is open. The dark blue wire at pin 1 of the relay is the ground wire.
