Chevy Brake Upgrade Parts

Q. I am restoring a:

1. 1966 Chevrolet C10 Shortbed Fleetside Pickup
2. 283 engine, 4 bbl
3. Standard 3 on the tree Trans.

I would like to make a few changes to the front end and brakes. Is there a manual available that will tell me what used vehicle I can get parts from to:

1.) Replace the front 6 bolt brake drum with five bolt disc rotors and brakes.

2.) Replace the rear 6 bolt brake drums with 5 bolt brake drums.

Any help you can give me is greatly appreciated.

A. That truck can be converted to front disc brakes. I have never done the actual conversion myself but I have heard of it being done. You can get a kit that has everything you need from Stainless Steel Brakes that has everything you need to do the conversion.
