Nissan Sentra Charging System

Q. Hi!!! I am the owner of 1995 Nissan Sentra, US version of Sunny, GXE 1.6 liter manual drive. I recently have a problem with the charging of the battery. I've tried to replace a new battery, but it runs out after a few rides. I suspect that it is the alternator problem.

Nissan Sentra Charging System

My question is: if it is indeed a problem with the alternator, will my car's electrical system run at all by draining the battery power only?

Thank you so much!!
Best regards,
Donald

A. The car will run as long as there is about 9 volts or more in the battery. If it is not recharged, the fuel pump will shut down and then it's foot power from there.

I would suggest having the alternator checked and replaced if it is not charging the battery as it should.
