Pontiac Bonneville Interior Lights On

Q. Hello, I have a 1999 Pontiac Bonneville, 3.8 liter. My problem is the interior lights, all of them, come on and stay on. They stay on as long as the ignition is on and go off only after the car is turned off and sat for about 10 minutes. I have disconnected the front map light switches, replaced the body function module and opened each door to check the switches but still have this problem.

The headlight switch appears to be okay but I have not removed it to test it. What could be the problem? Is there a relay I need to check? If so, where is it?

Thanks,
Mike

A. There is a "Retained Accessory Power" relay that could be sticking on. This would also keep power alive to other things like power windows and the radio though. You really need a schematic for this kind of problem to make sure you don't overlook something. This relay could be anywhere! Try looking under the hood in the electrical center or under the dash.
